License Category AM

(moped ≤ 50 cm³)

The driving licence category AM entitles you to drive following vehicles:

• - Two-wheeled an three-wheeled moped (cubic capacity up to 50 cm³ and up to 45 km/h)
• - Light quadricycles (up to 45 km/h).

The minimum age for applying to a driving school for this driving licence is:

- 15 years and a half.

For registration, come to the driving school
with all the necessary documents.

Documents required for the application for a driving licence of the category AM:

• - A medical certificate (less than 3 months old);
• - A recent passport photograph (taken from the front) in 45 × 35 mm format;
• - A copy of your valid ID card/passport;
• - A copy of your driving license
  (if you are a holder of another category);
• - A criminal record from the country you are coming from
  (only necessary if you live in Luxemburg since less than 5 years
  and if you were major that moment).

If you are not 18 years old at the time of application:

• - The signature of a guardian is required;
• - A copy of his or her identity document.

The number of theory lessons required to be taken at a driving school :

• - A minimum of 12 one-hour lessons;
• - A minimum of 6 hours if you hold a driving licence of another category.

If you fail the theory test, you must repeat half the mandatory theory hours, before retaking it.

Practical training course;

- A practical training course of at least 7 hours provided by a driving school is required, whitout test!

Issue of the driving licence :

After the practical training course, the driving licence will be mailed.
